Some one is using the piano in the lecture hall so I can't practice now. Since I have nothing better to do at the moment, I shall just scribble something down on this much deserted blog.

My work is going much better now. A guy from Egypt joined our group recently. He is very familiar with the stuff so he has really been a great help:) But I am still as careless as usual; as a result, I have wasted quite a lot of my time and the computer power. But anyway, as long as we have found out the mistakes and keep things going, we shall not feel too sorry for all the mistakes.

And practicing piano after work has become my regular activity everyday. It is just so lucky that the research institute has a piano on its own! I started trying Chopin's Nocturne op.9.2, and it is slowly turning out:) Before this, I always stay away from Chopin because they all sound so hard; but now, as my playing of the nocturne develops some sort of shape, I am really really happy about it.

I have been lazy for a while again... I am really sorry to those who came to my blog and always see no updates...

I am doing well these days. Research are going better as things are really working at the moment :) So that's probably enough to keep me cheered up.

I went to Heidelberg for that RISE meeting two weeks ago and I finally saw how well-behaved American guys are (hmm I was so sheltered in Wellesley that I actually never see how guys behave ...ok MIT guys are probably a different breed.) In a foreign country, some people actually bothered to get drunk and jump onto the roof during the night ... and of course the hostel people were quite mad about it. And during one dinner, the restaurant waiters had to take out color pencils and papers for some guys to fill in colors for a little kitten ....

"An Elite education contains for false sense of self-worth."

Indeed. It is so true.
and I shall try not to commit this mistake.
